Dr. Maestas, a former Dean and Professor at New Mexico Highlands University, holds an Ed.D. degree from Arizona State University. His academic journey began at Adams State Alamosa College, where he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business. Furthering his expertise, he completed post-doctoral studies at the University of Minnesota and Indiana University in Management Information Systems. A prolific author, Dr. Maestas has co-authored 13 textbooks on Microsoft Windows, contributing significantly to the field of technology education. His dedication to scholarship has earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Global Distinction Award from the International Biographical Research Institute in 2015. His commitment to sports and athletic development led to his induction into the California Hispanic Sports & Athletic Foundation Hall of Fame in 2015 and the New Mexico Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2014. His professional recognitions are extensive, with listings in Latino Who’s Who (2015), Covington Who's Who Registry (2014), Latino Americans Who’s Who (2013), and Cambridge Who’s Who (2011-2012). His contributions extend beyond education and publishing, as he has also coached cross-country for the U.S. Summer Olympics and participated in the Summer Olympics in South Korea. A dedicated mentor, Dr. Maestas has assisted over 100 students in earning their doctorate degrees at various universities across the United States. His affiliations include being a Lifetime Member of the Hispanic Genealogist Society, Fray Angelico, and an award recipient of the National Science Foundation Grant. Additionally, he is a member of the Crown Order of Charlemagne, Templer Knights, and the Merovingian Dynasty.
